For those who have been interested in seeing me DJ live (and, to my everlovin' shock, there actually ARE some of you), I'm excited to announce that I've got not one, but TWO live DJ gigs coming up in the month of October.  You might want to make sure you read what type of music I'm playing at each event, because I don't want to drag you out to these events with you expecting to hear something you're not gonna.

The first night is Thursday, October 13th at the Meadowlark Bar, 27th & Larimer in Denver.  I'm supposed to be exchanging sets with a band, but I haven't heard which band it'll be at this point.  At this gig, I'll be playing what I have (rather lamely) termed FORTY-FIVE.  These are instrumentals on 7" singles, all from the period 1955-1975.  You'll hear soul, funk, rock and jazz all thrown in the mix.  It's not really for dancing per se, although there will certainly be some numbers you can dance to if the spirit moves you.  Instead, I've geared it to be great music to "hang out to".  I'm hoping you'll bring some friends along, have some drinks, chat, and just enjoy the music.  I've tried out this genre on a couple private parties, but this will be the debut in a public place, so I hope you can make it out and enjoy it.

The next event will be a fundraiser gig for White Rabbit and Urban Peak on Friday, October 21st.  It'll be at the Gypsy House Cafe at 13th and Marion in Denver.  At this gig, I'll be playing 80s goth & darkwave.  Just FYI - since this is a youth-oriented charity, I've been asked to keep the music at this event "family-friendly".  Therefore, many of the darker and "bloodier" Halloween-themed darkwave songs will not be on the menu.  Hopefully, that won't deter you from joining me - hopefully in cape and wax fangs!
