If you're like me - and I know I am - you've sometimes thought of certain jobs or gigs, and thought "I bet I could do that" or "that'd be fun to do". Well, recently, I had one such opportunity arise, and I decided to take it.
Long story short - I'm directing a music video.
Mind you, this isn't any huge production. The total budget for the video is zero dollars and zero cents. But, in a sense, that's what I was hoping to do. I've heard local bands say they don't make music videos because they have no budget, and I've idly thought "Well, with a bit of work and imagination, you could probably make something pretty good." So that's what I'm going for - trying to make a compelling music video with literally no budget.
I've decided to do a standard performance clip, but rather than having the actual band performing, I've decided to ask a bunch of local bands to perform the song. So far, I've only gotten one band filmed - Saints. And I need to say they were excellent. The filming may have taken ten minutes, tops. Here's a cheap still from the shoot:

A bunch of other local bands have agreed to perform, and I've got three lined up for this coming week already. Obviously, once this is all done, I'll post the results here for you to enjoy.
